This year the NASA Space Apps Challenge is coming to the C4DI in Hull!
The NASA Space Apps gets me very excited because as well as great challenges it is one of the best hackathon communities I have had the pleasure to meet.
For me this is the third year I will be participating, starting from an event where I turned up and contributed very little, but had a great time, to last year where I was lucky enough to win and to get through to global judging.
Some of the most important lessons I have learnt in recent years have been through the hackathon. I have gotten to know fantastic professional people and I have seen some crazy and cool ideas come to life in a very small space of time. I have had the chance to try skills that I would normally only be applying to personal projects and the opportunity to think outside of the box.
I can't reccomend it enough to anyone and everyone. It doesn't matter how good you are or how much you know about the topic, it is a great experience and needs people from all backgrounds.
