I am very proud to say that team Launch Sight were chosen as the winners of the Launch :A Global Experience challenge by the Kennedy Space Center:Space Apps Challenge and as their overall challenge winners across all 5 of the challenges they posted! I was very pleased to win the York:Space Apps Challenge and be put forward to the Global judging. After we had put two days of work into our project and seen the amazing competition I think we were all a little surprised to win. I have been following the peoples choice award and more recently the global finalists and in each of the categories marveling at the sheer ingenuity and level of skill of the other entrants.
To be chosen as global winners and winners of the challenge category has left me absolutely gobsmacked. It was completely unexpected and a huge honor.
