| Just the uprights completed |
At the time of writing the instructions for assembling the nfire one are good, but require some back and forth. As they have only been released for a short while and as this is Alex Youden’s first attempts at producing material of this type I believe that they will get better with time.

| Almost, still have the hot end to fit |
The design itself is very impressive, with the way many of the parts fit together simply, with few fixings and few tools. If you are looking at buying one for yourself I can highly recommend getting yourself a 3mil and 4mil spanner along with some very small allen keys. I have been able to get by with what I have, but it would have been simpler with the right tools.
The most challenging part of the build so far has been putting together the hot end. It is the most critical component and building it from the kit has not been enjoyable. I needed an extra pair of hands when securing the thermistor and managed to scorch the heat shrink. Had I not been so many hours into the build I believe I might not have had such a hard time with it, but I had been working on it for around 7 hours at that point. My overall build time on the Nfire 1 has been something like 20 hours, but the right tools would reduce that quite a lot.
