As I mentioned before my soldering iron gave up the ghost and I have been over long in replacing it. My new iron is really bog standard, but comes with a narrower profile for the same 40 watts. It is further from the handle to the soldering tip and the whole thing is slightly lighter, although only a fraction. it also has a shaped grip, which I like.
