If you don't follow me on twitter you didn't see me tweeting about the Hull Analytics forum 2015 this week at Hull University, which was an interesting half a day of talks on data collection and use. There were talks from IBM on Watson Analytics, the ICO on data privacy and use and industry specialists on the skills needed in the sector and map-reduce.
All in all it was a very interesting day and I came away with quite a few notes to look over and a fair few contacts to follow up. A little off topic for the blog, but it was interesting and I can recommend it for anyone with an interest in data and the local digital community.
